Mad Slow x50v WM5 with nothing running

Hi,
I have a Axim x50v with WM5. I've had my Axim for almost an year, and I've never gotten it to a perfect state. I have alot of programs installed, most in SD card, but still alot in the device, I'm almost sure that when u chose to install it on ur device on WM5 it automatically installs it on buit in memory, correct me if im wrong. And i try to use SPB Pocket Plus in my today screen, but my ram when I do is 20mb when I'm lucky, it goes down to 18mb after a while (with no programs running), making my bluetooth headphones lag and skip constantly. And when I disable it from my today screen my ram goes up to 23mb max. The only things on my start up are spb services, and the bluetooth tray. I use memmaid and sktools constantly to change dlls, caches etc. Every tweak possible.
Is this normal, shouldn't I have like 30mb or ram free with nothing running? is it impossible to have a program in my today screen without making my axim and music lag?
I appriciate the help, thx.

have you try softreset, maybe the program wasnt compatible

I suggest revert to WM2003se. My X50v been 'trying' to be friendly & understand WM5, but later I do understand the WM5 is merely for X51,

softreset has been almost as constant as puting the Axim in stanby, something like 6 times a day. It freezes all the time...theres something really wrong with it. I wont revert it back to 2003SE cause I've done it once and I really didnt feel any diference. Thx for the help tho.

well my x50v is fairly sluggish in wm5, compared to my bros x51v
short answer is x50v isnt really meant to run wm5
spb pocketplus + spb weather + spb diary = a x50v that rocks

sounds like the compaction thread is kicking in...
Which is one of the reasons that wm5 on the x50 is such a dog.

Go back to wm2003se... It's even better the second time round

Since you have had it for less than a yr you probably are still under warranty. Here is a link to where people like myself have been successful in getting Dell to replace our x50v with a x51v. Since you are trying to run wm5 you may want to investigate this.

If you have your paperwork from when you bought it, it would show the date and warranty coverage.
You can go on the Dell website and log in and see your history of purchases.

You can also check your coverage by inputting your Service Tag # found underneath the battery, on Dell's web-site.
