I have a new X51v. I can reassign the physical buttons, but they are reset to the default if I change the battery. Is there a way of making the changes immune from soft reset and power outtages?

Driving me nuts.

Welcome to AximSite The changes should not be impacted by Soft Resets. I have remapped a few of mine and they are fine after a Soft Reset. I would think the same would hold true with batter removal, but I have not tried that yet.

I changed a button and did a soft reset while docked and ActiveSync was active. The defaults were restored. However, I took the PDA off the cradel, made some changes, turned off the power and took the battery out for about 20 Minutes and they buttons were not reset. Appears I was confused as to the circumstances causing the problem.
