I just create a note on my desktop. Then when I'm shopping I switch to drawing mode and check off the items i've gotten. Have to admit my wife does most of the shopping, but this works great for the few trips she asks me to make (PB and pickles sorts of things), plus the price is right.

Seems like people really love ListPro. Could a built-in ToDo/Task list with categories replace it? Somebody asked this question but seems like there is no real answer to that.

Thanks

I can't imagine that a ToDo list would perform well because you have to put hundreds of items in there ...

Before ListPro I had a simple text file with ALL my grocery items listed.
I simply put a mark on the items of interest for that day.
Worked for years on my Palm.

Handyshopper would certainly do the job but I use ListPro for many other topics -

- flower/plant informations with picture links,
- auto specifications for purchase evaluation,
- internet links to be accessed,
- books to be read,
- traveling packing lists

and the like ...

HandyShopper is a good program, but ListPro has nested levels (hierarchy) and a desktop.

myrcgarage,

that's what I use as my shopping list - the build-in to -do list with different types of groceries filed in different categories.

So far it works great. Can even set the item to recur from time to time so it actually reminds me to Cheek if I need to buy the item.

Handyshopper for me

Been using Handyshopper since my PalmVx - works great on Axim 51v, and although ListPro has some features that are nice, you can't beat the price for Handyshopper - $0. :approve:

Is ListPro dead?

ListPro is great but hasn't been updated in years. Is it dead? Does anyone know if an update is coming? There are lot's of things they could do to improve it: file attachments, formated text, more field types, etc.

Handyshopper does the job for me. A simple and easy program that does what it's supposed to.

I recently crashed my Ax and until I get it fixed I use my old Palm m505 - with ListPro !
Loaded it and pointed to my .clf files on the PC
- voila, I'm up running again :p

Thanks for making it so easy, Iliumsoft :approve:

Nope! Not dead!

Sorry for my slow reply...we've been working hard to get NewsBreak 2.0 released!

We have a 5.0 version of ListPro in the works right now! The current version works great and is fully compatible with all the latest devices and operating systems.

And if you're ever trying to use ListPro to do something specific and can't quite figure it out there are two things I suggest. The first is to check out the List Exchange. There are hundreds of lists there. You might find one that already does what you want or at least get some good ideas.

Second, drop us a line! Our support folks are happy to help and to offer ideas on ways to get ListPro to do just what you need it to. (support@iliumsoft.com or 888-632-5388).

Oh...and you can't actually attach a file to ListPro but you can certainly link to one using a Linked field.
