Backing up & Restoring applications

Is there any way to back up and restore an application on an Axim? I am moving from one Axim to another and I want to transfer an application for which I have lost the installation CD. Plus it has local saved information that I would like to transfer over as well.

I tried running Active Sync on the old Axim & the new, and the standard files & data were transfered, but not the installed applications.

Thanks,

Paul

In ActiveSync, with the new Axim in the cradle, go to Tools -> Add/Remove programs. As long as you used activesync to install the program fist you should be able to use that to reinstall it.

Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks, the Install/Remove programs approach reinstalled 2 of the apps, but not the third, with the application data.

Any other ways to transfer an application from one Axim to another?

install it on an sd or cf card and swap it over - not sure, though
The other day, I was going 95 on 75 in my 85 and saw GOD in my rear view mirror in the form of a Tennessee state trooper!
