Keyboard takes over in Word Mobile!

Sometimes when I am using Word Mobile, the Keyboard icon at the bottom of the screen loses the little arrow that allows you to change the input method. When this happens, and I click on the keyboard the on-screen keyboard comes up and takes over the bottom half of the screen, covering the Menu bar and the input method icon so that I can't dismiss the keyboard or access any menu functions. If I exit and restart Word Mobile, it still happens. Sometimes it goes away after a while, but most of the time I need to do a soft reset to get the proper input icon (with arrow) to show up and work.

Any advice?
(X51v/A12 rom)

Thanks,
J

I'm not real familiar with WM5 and just getting used to it coming over from Palm OS. Try a freeware app called Null Keyboard

I find that some programs don't allow good control of the keyboard -- very annoying. So, I mapped one of the hard buttons to control the appearance/disappearance of the input panel (keyboard).

Settings --> Personal --> Buttons --> Choose "Input Panel" for one of the buttons

That way when the keyboard pops up, I can just press the hard button to get rid of it.
