I keep a kind of diary using calender which goes back to 96. It is a mixtutre of actions and appointments. Having just upgraded from an X50v to an X51v I find that writting and searching my calendar is much slower than with WM2003.

Having played around with synching I find that only storing the last 6 months calendar data makes writting and searching much faster.

As I only look back beyond 6 months for data occasionally I was wondering if anyone knew of a way of archiving calender PIM info so it could be looked at occasionally without it clogging up the main PIM. Are there any third party programs?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you sync with Outlook, why not use the Outlook archive feature? Then sync the newly archived and smaller Outlook calendar. Whenever you want that archive back, all you have to do is open it in Outlook.

If you have error reporting enabled (Settings, System tab), that will slow the performance of the Axim period.
