As stated on dell's website:

Fix CF slot power pin always on when a CF I/O card insert.

So I assume if you take your CF card out often, that this would save battery power being used by the PIN being always on.

"Fixes and Enhancements
Fix CF slot power pin always on when a CF I/O card insert."

It looks like it's just a tweak to fix an issue with the CF slot constantly staying on (and draining power) when a CF card's inserted for use with things like GPS units and so on.

I don't have a CF card or any CF accessories (yet), but I went ahead and installed the update b/c I will never remember about it when I do get CF stuff. It took all of 10 seconds and went very smooth. :approve:

Since I applied the server hack I have had no problems with the cf card. I did install this update though. It has made no noticable difference.
