i ran this update over the weekend, and i couldn't connect to my wireless network afterwards....i use WPA with TKIP encryption setup through the odyssey client. Directly after i applied the patch i tried to connect to my wireless network, and the odyssey client just sat there "waiting for Keys". It worked fine before this.
i rolled back to a backup that i took before installing the patch, and i'm back in business.

Ah. Crap. I guess that's what caused my problem then. I experienced the same thing - applied the update and can no longer connect via WPA-TKIP. I guess I'll have to roll back and restore too. I wonder how long until Dell will fix their 'patch'.
Well before I said that I had applied the patch and there was no difference. Well there is. Now I am having all sorts of wireless connectivity issues that I had never even dreamed of. I had just hard reset too! And I'm a fool and I don't have a backup! Looks like it's going to be another hard reset.

QFT
I wonder if this just affects WPA or if it affects WEP encryption as well?
I did the update and found I had a hard time connecting to several networks I used to deal with with no problems. I also deleted the update and it works fine again.

Uninstall it (start -> Settings -> remove programs). All the patches I have applied have HTC at the beginning of the name and the naming makes it pretty easy to figure out which patch is which.
