Once you have connected your ppc to the pc via active sync you can then locate the PP on your PC and Copy it, then locate the folder on the ppc that you want to place it in and Paste it there. A window will open saying converting and copying. Once that finished the file is on your PPC and you can open it from there.

Sounds like you don't have a valid Activesync partnership connection.
You should confirm that you are indeed successfully connected via Activesync. If so, then the Mobile Device Folder should allow you to browse your PPC. Good Luck . . . Quote:

KGG double click the mobile device and that should give you your file structure, then you can select My Documents (this is the standard document location). I personally use an SD disk (1 gig) to transfer files between my laptop machine and Axim. Hope this helps.
PS another option that may help is to use the folder on your "parent machine" (PC you are syncing with) set up in your My Documents folder - mine is called WM My documents. This is the synchronizing folder between the PPC and the PC. You can set this up to be included in the sync process by (see attached pics):
Hope that helps. | ||||||||

Also, we are assuming that you are using wm5. If not you may have to install resco viewer first to be able to convert your ppt files to a file type you can read. First make sure you have a valid activesync partnership. good luck.

If cost is not an issue, you may want to consider ClearVue Presentation Pro. It reads powerpoint document natively. You don't have to use Activesync to convert the document; you can transfer powerpoint files between PC and PDA simply by using a memory card. Another advantage of ClearVue Presentation Pro is that you can even edit your powerpoint document on your PDA.
