You cannot. It is in ROM. You can, however, install another browser such as NetFront and set it as the default browser and then ignore PIE from then on.

So, you are saying there is no way to uninstall PIE until the next hard reset?

I do not even think a Hard Reset will get rid of it. Hard Reset brings your Axim back to default factory settings, which include PIE.

You can't uninstall PIE any more than you can uninstall IE for your desktop and expect a working XP install afterwards - it's a part of the ROM image, or if you want to look at it another way, it's a part of the operating system; you can hide the shortcuts to it, but that's IT.

Actually, a hard reset would reinstall PIE. There is no JackSprat/JackFlash Palm style user modification to ROM capability in general usage in the PPC universe, so whatever comes in ROM you are stuck with.

That's a fact. I'd uninstall it if I could, I use Opera exclusively now - so much faster.

Yea. Just delete the shortcuts from your start menu and install Netfront 3.3.

I haven't used PIE in years (i take that back)... months. I used PIE once like 10 months ago because I of a WiFi certificate at Starbucks. I had to load PIE to accept the cert so that it would reg my mac address and allow access.

I would blame starbucks for a bad cert, but whatever.
