If I soft reset a WM5 PDA (Dell Axim x51 - ROM A12 or HP hx2190) after setting up a POP3 or IMAP email account in Messaging, the account is gone and only Outlook messaging is left when the device starts up. The only way around this problem seems to be to download e-mails using a CF/SD modem. Downloading e-mails using ActiveSync and my PC doesn’t help. Anyone come across this before?
Is there a solution the problem of Messaging not running on the Dell x51 (and x50) after restoring a full backup file? On the x51 Messaging even disappears from the today screen. ![]()

missing email account after reset
I recently (re) upgraded my x50v to WM5 A02. I'm having the same problem. I can set up my email account (comcast) just fine but when I do a soft reset the account goes away
. Has anybody resolved this? ![]() Edit: OK, I reinstalled pocketbreeze to main memory and it seems to be working now???? However, it didn't work the first soft reset but on subsequent soft resets (after setting up the email account again) all appears well. I'm sure there's some reasonable explanation but I'm backing it up (just in case).
