PIE goes POOF!!

Well, over time I am getting my Axim more stable, but this problem keeps happening even after some hard resets.

When using Pocket IE with Wifi, if frequently just goes poof and disappears. No remaining process or anything. It won't run again until after a soft reset. Then it will go for awhile.

I use Spb Today PIE+, but this also seems to happen when I don't have PIE+ turned on, so I don't think that is the cause.

I couldn't find any previous threads about this, but surely I'm not the only one.

Anybody got any ideas on how to tweak this into working?

Are the pages you're accessing using scripting? I had problems which sound similar ... but the problems could always be traced down to some kind of scripting issue. Typically I'd get an error, click OK, and continue to work ... until I went to a link on that page. I don't recall the specifics of it any more; I learned to either avoid those pages or use minimo.

I got that problem once too, i fixed it by manually deleting the cache folders (for example, when the cache is on the sd card, go to the root, then temporary internet files, and finally delete all files there).
IE worked fine after that, no more poof for me.

I too have had PIE go poof. For me it has always been a memory issue. Try to free up as much main memory as possible by installing programs and saving files on SD or CF cards.

I have this same issue. Sometimes I load it up and as soon as I browse to a page (doesn't matter which one) PIE disappears and the only way to remedy it is to soft reset. Hasn't happened for a couple of weeks now though.

Enable the Error report tool, you should get more info about the error that way.

clear the browser cache helps too. Finds out where it is stored and dear the contents out. This helped me couple of times already.
Or try stop PIE from loading any page on startup by hitting the stop command. Then dear the cadre from the option screen.
