Wow. That is pretty disgusting -- to just turn all non-phone pda's into dinosaurs in such an aggressive move.

I really hope we can find some decent way to use Win Live -- because even programs like IM+ are just inexplicably ugly, a little sluggish, and just so barebones in their features.

Ok, os I started messing around with this, and I changed my system time back a month and guess what? it works! I think that the time thing must be in the actual software itself, because as soon as I change my systems date back it works and when I change it to the right day it gives me an error. does this give anyone any ideas of how to fix this problem that microsft has thrown our way. obvioulsy keeping your systems time back dois no a solution that will work very well.

oh god...so they end the beta but have NOTHING for us afterwards? It's not like we can buy Windows Mobile 6 for our Axims!

How's you get your info from MS, Noiro? I emailed some support line myself, but I'm doubtful of any real response.

that Windows Live Mobile (beta) is only for windows mobile 5 or does it work on windows mobile 4.2 too?

The Windows Live Mobile (beta) has expired. It is no longer in beta and is now integrated into Windows Mobile 6. And according to what I have read Microsoft has no plans to make it available as a separate download. And before you ask no it cannot be extracted it is embedded in the primary .dll's.

Hey Speed, there was I thread I made about this (Windows Live) not too long ago.

Check it, the guy has offered the non beta (non timed) version ;) That M$ tried so hard to hide from us.

Yep -- it is definitely working. I hope it continues to work because there is literally no other solution out there that does as good a job for MSN as this one.

I can't believe how badly MSN Mobile lags on the x51v -- Live is just lightyears beyond it.

oh, you mean in E-mails? I'm not sure about that -- hahaha. I only use it for the messenger!

But on the x51v the speed is probably the best out of all IM programs I know of (agile, IM+, pocket MSN...)

And it provides: msn contact pictures, file transfer, voice clips, and the most beautiful interface out of all the other ones.

To this day I just don't understand why IM+ and Agile look the way they do. They seemed to be the best 3rd party solutions, and yet their UI just looks terrible in comparison...they look like 2003SE or 2002 programs..
