Internet explorer (WM5) favorites folders

Is it possible through registry edits or otherwise to prevent IE from opening up folders in the favorites list while scrolling down with the directional pad. As it is now, when I scroll down (using the directional pad) to each folder it expands each folder then scrolls through all the folders contents before getting to the next folder effectively making the folder setup ineffective (for one hand use.) I know I can close it and open it by going left or right on the pad but is there a way to prevent the folders from automatically opening as I scroll down (besides going down,left,down,left.....on the pad)?
