Having software run when Axim has shut down/password protected
RE: Axim x51v, WM5:
The problem is that software like AlarmClocks or recording software or Sprite do not function properly because the Axim will power off in battery mode. I'm not sure if the password protection in WM5 is also messing things up.
I got Resco Recorder to work by simply locking the device manually with the switch on the left side of the PDA. I could record for several hours without a problem.
Sprite requires me to input the PDA password to start backup to the desktop computer. This is a big inconvenience.
AlarmClocks sometimes work. IF they work, then I might get a few rings, then it stops. If the PDA is powered on and password input, then the Alarm will continue.
Any ideas of easy solutions? I guess I could eliminate the password protection on start up, but I really do not want to do that, unless there is a good alternative. I guess I could set the device to never power off, but who does that with a PDA?
Any advice from the gurus out there?
PS I love the Axim potential, but it sucks big time as a simple organizer (former Palm user)
