I have problems connecting to the internet via the server of my university.
I can find the wireless lan and I can log into the corresponding webpage, using my username and password. BUT I also have connect via a vpn connection, only that it doesnt work: "Server problems [...] try turning device on and off."

So I asked the "experts" at the supportcenter what the problem might be.
What they told me, is that the WM5 VPN client of my x51v tries to enforce a symmetrically encoded data transfer or something and that their server doesnt allow this encoding because it's not safe enough.

I was advised to look for a different vpn-client that would allow for a dissymmetrical encoding or something like that... didnt really get everything.

Tough one, huh?
