I purchased a X50V with ugrade to WM05 , I have already installed activesync for my other x50v running WM2003, so the dilemma-----How can I get the axim running WM05 to sync with my desktop so I can remove WM05 and downgrade back to WM2003 ? When I put it in the cradle activesync does not connect with it, and I cannot do nothing I am assuming because my activesync and partnership with my desktop were done with my axim running WM2003

are you running activesync 3.8 or 4.0. If you are running activesync 3.8 you will not be able to communicate to wm5. At any rate, the best thing to do now is download activesync 4.2 or 4.5 (beta) from the web. Install that on the web and see if you can establish a new partnership with the x50v wm5. don't worry about sync'ng information as that will lost during your return to 2003se anyway.
