Fake Call Application for Windows Mobile 5.0

I have noted an application for the Treo 600/650; anyone aware of a similar application for Windows Mobile 5.0 that fakes a call to your handset so that you can gracefully exit from a meeting or conference with good excuse?

Hi Mariela.

I would do like this:

(Requires PDA and mobile paired via BT)

Install zSMS from http://software.zone17.com/ on your PDA.

(Sends SMS from PDA via BT to your mobile, and then to any mobilenumber in your "Contacts")

When meetings get dull, send SMS to your own mobilenumber, through PDA zSMS! Everybody will think you were interupted while taking notes on your PDA, by an important phone call. :-)

(Maybe you should also change tones for SMS on your mobile, so it sounds like a real call?)

Hmmm... if you have access to WiFi you don't even need BT... just send a text message to your phone....

Or, even better, have an accomplice in the room do so. Then you look perfectly innocent when the phone goes off, and can tell you co-conspirator that you are both needed for and urgent matter (no need to explain the urgency is to escape the meeting!)

Is zSMS capable sending text messages through WiFi also? I can find only BT option mentioned on zSMS site.

Hi.

No, zSMS only works via BT.

But the point is, that by WiFi, you should be able to send a mail from the PDA, to the mail-account for the mobile phone. When received, it could be indicated by a normal ringtone. All triggered by yourself.....
