Question Need help with browser tweaks

I work in a school district. We have a secure student data website that is fully accessible both inside and outside of the school district LAN. It requires IE 6.0, Flash 7, and Java 1.5.

Using RegKing, I can log into this website with my iPaq 4155 (Windows Mobile 2003,) but on a read only basis. This is far better than nothing.

With my Axim x51v - WM5, and Registry Tweak (PIE set to appear as 6.0) I can't access the website at all. It looks like it's going to connect, but it keeps loading forever and the screen stays blank. I AM, however, able to access a "semi-normal," version of my gmail account with a blurb that the browser is not fully supported. Of course I can also access the mobile version, which is terrible. Similarly, with my Axim I am able to log into my Bank of America Home Banking account, but it isn't 100% functional. I was unable to check November, 2006 activity, as there was no "go" button on the browser.

What do I need to give my browser the maximum functionality possible on a PDA? Is it a registry hack, or is there a better browser with more capabilities? Please help.
Thanks.
Patti

Hi Patti,

I've run into similar problems with many different websites. There doesn't seem to be a browser that can do it all. Check out these threads by Menneisyys:

Opera and Netfront are pretty good. You could download them and try them out with your website. Good luck.

PIEplus add-on will most likely work since it will let you set up IE4(Default) - IE6.
Just look in its extra options to set it to IE6.0
