Its XP its shite. Yes i agree there are still problems with vista oh yeah i forgot i had the flash drive problem with vista lol even with teething problems with vista its still way way way ahead of XP. Vista has only just been released dont forget so there are gonna be problems i h8 XP after installing loads of programs it slows down you might not notice it but it does. XP is soo unstable and always has been cause i like to install programs and OC my pc i use mointoring software and cause of the software its starts becoming unstable. XP is fine untill you start to play games or upgrade your computer thats when the problems start with it because i upgrade alot XP wont work properly. I have XP X64 atm and to be honest it is nice and fast but the programs crashing pisses me off no matter what any1 says on XP programs crash on Vista it hardly happens. I agree windowsrookie ive just been designing a website on mac and its niiiiceee god i h8 windows but i have to use it if i wanna play games and use publisher lol. Yeah lets not start a mac and a pc arguement! "i think mac and pc should just get along, system error, just had to restart there mac" haha thouse mac adverts are funny.

i found those mac advertisements funny but also target at naive people. but most advertisements target naive people anyways so it does not really matter. The are a lot of reasons other than OS quality that causes your computer to slow down after you install a lot of programs on your computer. Every computer slows down when you install a lot of software on it and its irreverent of the OS because its hardware based. I mean your hard drive does not work as fast when its 90% or 80% full. Another reason why your XP slows down and your software crushes is because the registry it not well maintained and or you have spyware. All i do is check my registry for error once a month, defrag my HD and make sure it is at least 40% empty. My windows works as fast as out of the box and my programs almost never crush.

Your hard drive doesn't slow down when there's more stuff on it.

And you shouldn't have to do all that to keep your computer running. On a Mac you don't scan for spyware, or defrage your hard drive. And you don't scan a registry.

And Matt (FYI, names are capitalized) Every Mac i've ever owned had superior build quality compared to any other PC.

The Mac Pro, and MacBook Pro are solid aluminum.

hard drive gets defragmented not matter what os u use (i do not care about capitalizations and spelling as a matter of fact). and the mac i owned was the last version of ibook G4 - its built quality was very poor. and don't forget that solid aluminium bends. yes in mac u don't need to check registry but my point was about windows XP and not mac. yes mac doesn't need spyware but so what... I use spyware once a month - not a big deal. and yes if you really do some reading you will find out that hard drives slow down when they are full.
this is my last post on this topic. im done in here.

The build quality with all new pcs today are crap if you ask me the manufacturees cut costs buy using cheaper parts and the mouse and keyboard you get with them are rubbish. If you custom build your pc you can have excatly what you want and its probs cheaper aswell. Ive never looked inside a mac so i dunno what the build qualitys like my parents have an iMac it seems well made better than mine lol i built it myself but bought a cheap case haha.
