JPEG images look incorrectly

Hi,

I'm developing web-site, which must be also viewable from PDAs.
For testing I'm using Axim X50v (Win Mob 5.0). While the site is observed throurg desktop PC - everything is ok. But, on PDA screen jpeg images look bigger, than they must be.
Dimentions of the screen are 480(hor) and 640(vert) pixels. If image having 400 pixels width displayed on the screen, it looks wider than screen!

Could you please me to figure out how to fix it?
Thnks!

In their infinite wisdom microsoft made Internet Explorer Mobile pixel double *all* images, so a 240*320 should theoretically fill a 480*640 screen. Opera Mobile does not have this *cough* feature and so should display it fine.

If you want the site to be viewable by all PDAs then I would suggest you don't use images larger than 220*300. That way they fit on QVGA screens with scroll bars and a title bar.

Remember thought that QVGA is being "phased out," so it would be better to optimize it for VGA
