DST sync still out

Hi Guys,

Followed the prompts and have finally got the time right both on PC and Axim, but the appointments on my PDA are out by an hour, so I change them, and then they change in outlook :( What I am trying to say is that, whichever device I change, I still can't remove the 1 hour discrepancy.

Any ideas on how to remove this annoying error?!?!?

I have exactly the same problem, even though I followed the Microsoft instructions to the letter (including the PDA change to different time zone/change back thing).

All my Pocket Outlook appointments in the period March 11 to April 1 display as 1 hour ahead of what they should be, although they do display properly on the PC Outlook. When I tried to uninstall the patch in Remove Programs it wouldn't uninstall properly. Then I tried re-installing the patch .CAB file, and uninstalling it through Remove Programs -- it disappeared from Remove Programs, but the March 11 - April 1 appointments are still off. If I create new appointments (either on the PC or on the PDA) in this period they all have the 1 hour discrepancy between PC and PDA.

Does anyone know which registry entries to revert to undo this mess?

Microsoft has a download for the ppc, and another for Outlook on the desktop. I have to use Outlook Express for email because of my internet service provider (roadrunner).

Can somebody help me work around this? I thought about just temporarily changing the default email program, but I can't find where to do this and I didn't know if that would create a bigger problem.
I am set up the same way as you (ie. I use Outlook as my calendar/tasks program but Outlook Express for email). The way I worked around the problem was to temporarily set Outlook as the default email client (go to tools->options->other, then check the box making Outlook the default mail client). Then the patch operated correctly.

When I was done installing the patch, I went back to tools->options->other and unchecked the box which made Outlook the default email client.

When you restart Outlook Express, it will ask you if you want to set it as the default mail client. Just click "yes" and you're all set.

FYI... new version of the MS patch out now does not require you to switch TZ back and forth.
