Odyssey client+check notifications

I followed the instructions I found to fix my slow start-up issue caused by the Odyssey client and used Check notifications app to remove them form start-up.

The problem I have is if I disable the Odyssey client then my PPC won't connect to ANY Wifi network at all.

But If I re-enable the Odyssey client I have to keep going into Check notifications to clean out the entries that the Odyssey client keeps putting into start-up.

I'm real sorry I ever touched that stupid Odyssey client, If WM6 was available I would upgrade only if I could remove this offending piece of Crap-ware.

I thought I was supposed to disable Odyssey client, but as you can see that presents a new problem.

Where did I go wrong?

I deleted OC from the startup and disabled it to get rid of all the OC issues and have no problem so far (a week). My connections are WEP but have heard if the connection is pcx (I forget exactly what it is called) Make sure your keys are entered into the Dell WLan app (only possible if device is on) and you should be up and running

Can someone post a .cab file for this dell fix (R148392.EXE)?

I've been unable to extract the cab from the exe on my linux machine, and the exe won't run on the axim (though the dell site suggests it should!).

Thanks...
