Mobile 5.0 upgrade

Where can i get a upgrade from 2003 2nd edition to 5.0 ? Will it work on my X50 416mhz.

From what I've read it is not advisable to run x50 with WM5, many problems.

All I can say is it's hit or miss from what you read here. I have WM5 on my 50v and I have no problems at all. As for availability not sure if dell offers it anymore.

So does that mean it's not available at all? I have been running 2003 and now need to upgrade to run the latest FranklinCovey software provided by my company.

Dell's website is worthless about the subject.

Is there an update to this? I've read a lot of the horror stories about upgrading to WM5, but I'm still interested in doing it. Call me a glutton for punishment. :) I've scoured the Dell Support site and couldn't find the upgrade offer anywhere. Is it possible to simply buy the upgrade from Microsoft? Any help would be appreciated... a simple point in the right direction would be helpful. :)

I did the upgrade yesterday and it's running flawlessly so far... I haven't played much with it yet... but still, with the ROM update, you shouldn't have as many problems... good luck finding your copy of WM5 though...
