Question about downgrading to WM2003SE...

I just got an x51v, which I'm sure is a great machine but WM5 sucks in too many ways (did more soft resets in an hour than I did with my x30 in two years) and I already lost a day trying to get this thing as functional as my (crapped-out in minor car crash) axim x30 was with WM2003se.
ANyway, quick question about this rom downgrade that dell offers here: http://support.dell.com/support/down...&fileid=151786

It says for the x50 - does that mean this wouldn't work for an x51v?
And my other question: was really looking forward to using x50mix as an overall equalizer (was never too happy with sound quality on the x30). I read somewhere that it works utilizing the hardware of the x50 series, so even if I'm running WM2003SE, would the x50mix app work with my x51v?

Thanks in advance:)

Due to hardware, and licensing differences, you cannot run wm2003se on an X51 series axim

(sorry)

The X51 uses the same sound hardware as the X50 so X50mix will work with either unit. The X51 sound quality sounds good to me, X50mix just helps a little.

WM2003 CANNOT be installed on an X51, that rollback utility is for X50 units and the X51 is not an X50. A lot of issues with WM5 can be caused by having old (non-wm5) versions of programs, check for updates where possible.
