Time Change Frustating Me

I did the research on the forum but couldnt find the answer...some of it was to much to weed through. (Please forgive me)

After the hour change last week...my active sync is changing my hour on my PDA> I'm tired of this. I tried going into options but I cant figure how to keep the sync time from changing. Everytime I connect to my PC the time changes back an hour.

Please someone if you can help....or direct me to the right post. Help me out. Thanks I truly appreciated.

Did you apply the DST patch to your PDA? There's a link to the CAB files on the Aximsite home page, and several threads on how to fix your problem.

I've got an app on my PC ( http://www.pawprint.net/wt/ ) that hasn't updated. I checked their forums and there are some fixes that are far above me, so I'll just wait it out til the "official" DST date and hope for the best.

Same thing for my smartphone. I've done everything sprint has told me to do, but still no-go, so again I'll just wait it out.

stupid congress. what's gonna happen on the "real date"? is a lot of software gonna re-update?

and then again in the fall when we get an extra week.....it's gonna start all over again.

stupid, stupid congress. they always give me headaches.

Mine did not work right until I switched time zones and switched back. Until I did this Pocket Breeze showed my appointments an hour ahead and alarms were going off an hour late, while at the same time Clock and Calandar looked just fine. I am in Brussels right now and they do not change time until March 23. When I look at my home time zone it shows the correct updated time and Brussels is staying put. That pleases me. All should be well when the 23rd comes around. Do the flip flop if you are having similar problems to me.

I'll assume you have installed DST patch on ax and probably DST update for PC, there is also an outlook patch that deals with time changing back here.

You can set AS not to synchronize the time if you don't want it to.

Go to AS on the PC with the Ax connected.

Go Tools/options then Settings and untic the box Synchronize Pocket PC date and time upon connecting.

I had this happen.
This is what I did.
I uninstalled the 2007 dst patch from DST.
Then reinstall patch on pc 1st, then reinstall dst on Axim. That worked.

I installed the Microsoft patch, and now the appointments on my Axim are TWO HOURS OFF. Lotus Notes appointments made before March 11 are one hour off and then the Axim is adjusting again.

::::sigh::::

ther are more than 1 patch to make all your DST settings complete. WM5 only syncs with outlook, so your lotus notes may have to change settings manually.

Mine changed my time but changed one of my recurring appointments to an hour earlier, but not another. I am not sure what it did with one of my doctor appointments. I am so glad they call the day before

This goofy switch is messing up more than pdas. My poor atomic clock switched right and then all of a sudden it was a half hour off, trying to go back to regular time. Oh what a mess.

my poor desktop mac was off during the whole things and was spouting the wrong time to me all night, before apple sent out the update. And we thought y2k was going to be bad. lol

The DST fix as delivered by Microsoft is broken. Perhaps there will be a fix forthcoming. Go into the Clock application, set your timezone to Pacific US, click OK. It should now read Pacific US. Go back in and change it to Tijuana, Baja California, click OK. It will now read Pacific US.

Thx to Alex for the proof.

I first installed the MS update for XP, then the Outlook patch, then the patch for the PPC. The times on Outlook updated correctly and my computer clock updated to the correct time, but my handheld (X50v) did not - the appointments on my handheld were off by 1 hour, and then they got duplicated when sync'd to Outlook, then sync'd once again to my handheld. But I reinstalled the Outlook update, and reinstalled the PPC update (must make sure your PPC is connected and syncing to your PC, then start the update program from your computer). I had to do a soft reset of my handheld and sync a couple of times, but it eventually worked.
