Open-program data loss when battery dies
I have googled for the answer to this question, but can't find anything (I'm new to PPC).
Do I understand correctly that if my battery runs out I will lose unsaved data? If so. is there any auto-save function/software (for example, will save all open programs automatically every 2 mins) or any function/software that will save all open programs when the battery is about to die? Many thanks in advance!

You'll lose unsaved data in whatever programs are currently running (example: If you made changes to a Word document using Word Mobile and hadn't hit 'save' yet, then when the PDA's battery goes, all your unsaved changes go with it). HOWEVER, programs or files which are currently in persistent memory remain - so you don't end up with the equivalent of a hard reset; everything written to ROM stays in ROM - but if you had an Excel spreadsheet open but hadn't saved the data... well, you'll have to start fresh.
No programs I know of to auto-save data - you'd have to basically have a generic/standard 'save all' command in each... which doesn't exist. You'd have to macro-record keyclicks to do this. :P Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it - it's not like WM2003SE; it's more like Palm in that respect.
