Question What to do with CAB file(s)?

What do I do with the cab files that I copied into my X51V after I installed the program? I have a couple of cab files in My Documents folder and do not know if I can delete the cab file after it was installed.
Does the program link to this cab file after it was installed or can it be deleted. I installed Lingvosoft Talking Translator and the cab file is about 34MB.
Thanks in advance for any replies!

The cab file can be deleted after finishing the installation. The installed program files exist in the Program Files folder of the built in memory or the storage card.

They are used to install the program and, once run, can safely be deleted. If you are worried, test the software after you delete the CAB file.

The only reason to keep a CAB file or EXE installation file once you have installed the program is to allow you to reinstall it if there is a problem at a later date. You could try relying on being able to download the software from the software manufacturers website but this may not work if they have update their software later and there is no free upgrade to the new version. Alternatively the software manufacturer company could close down and there is no way of getting the file again.

I keep all such CAB and EXE files on my PC.

I keep all cab files on a medium sized SD card and install from there. Then if I need them in the future they are all in one place.
