Hi All,

I am using x51v A12 Rom. the defaut directory for the SD card is "SD Card". How can I change the directory to "SD" or "SD_Card"?

Thanks,

It's in the registry....

If you don't want to change the registry by hand, I know that Pocket Mechanic has a tool that lets you change the name.

I use Resco Explorer...

But if you want freeware/donationware, PHM comes highly recommended...

Should I find "SD Card" in the registry and replace all of them with "SD"?

Pray tell, why would you want to do this?

As for how, you will need to change all references to the "SD Card" to "SD" or "SD_Card" in the registry.

Hmmm... it's probably only there once, unless you have installed software to an SD card.

If it were me... I'd search for each occurence and change it manually, after eye-balling what it points to. (After first backing up the registry. Actually, I'd back up everthing, just in case.... doubt that this change would render your PPC unbootable, but....) If you do have software installed on SD cards you will likely need to update the Start Menu links as well...

Remove the SD Card before editing the values.
After editing you need to reboot/soft reset.

Some third party apps require a definite path, or they won't work
