RSS Software

I'm looking for software that I can run on my pc and easily send an RSS feed to my Axim with having to cut and paste URL's into activesync or anything like that. Is there any software that makes adding RSS feeds really easy?

Also, I am currently using the RSS Feed plugin for activesync and all my channels show just a a brief description, like a headline, and when I click to follow the link it says I need to be online?? What setting do I need to adjust so that the entire web page ends up on my Axim so I can read it offine?

Thanks for any help!

Taz

Thanks! That's what I'm looking for but unfortunately it doesn't work well with WM 5 right now according to their web site. So I'll keep looking.

Anybody else know of this type of software?

Oh, I didn't know that. I do have an x51v, but I only tried NewsRaider on my x50v. I will keep watching also.

Mobipocket's RSS can be configured on the desktop & sync to axim Via AS.

And to some degree mDigger, but any channels they don't already have you'll have to request. They usually complete requests the next day so its not a big waiting game....

Both give real deal RSS so no snippets of info. :approve:

mDigger is nice and free. My only issue is that most of the links to external sites from within the "channels" are not optimized for a mobile device.

I have no problem paying for software that I like as long as it does what I want. I'll check out these other suggestions and see what they're like.

How did you configure MobiPocket's RSS to load on to the PDA? I did not take a close look at that but a while ago I loaded some channels and then noticed that I needed to be connected to Wifi to read more than head lines. I gave up on that. If I do not need to be on Wifi, I would prefer MobiPocket because it lets you annotate, mark up, and link. Also Free.

I use Mobipocket as a RSS reader for off-line reading. Most sites I view have entire articles not just headlines. There are a few websites whose RSS feeds are limited to headlines but they are a small minority.

There is a function to send to your PPC when it is connected to you PC. I just formatted my hard drive and I haven't reinstalled Mobipocket yet, so I can't tell you exactly where the option is, but it seems to me that there is an icon in the menu at the top of the program. You can also configure it so that the feed informationi s stored on a storage card, although if I remember correctly the program only recognizes SD cards.

been a while since I've been here, dumped my x50v for an eten m600+, best thing I ever did.

Anyway, I've been using pocketRSS free RSS reader, and has been working great, and they also respond to my emails about support issues ( only 1 when I went to wm5, but works fine now). Just don't bother with today pluggin & use as a standalone app, works great & fast.

It say's pay for it, but all you need to do is enter your email address & it autoregisters.
