WM5 & Memory...keep things on SD?

I plan on upgrading to Windows Moblie 5..when it comes out for my HP 4700.

I heard that Window Moblie 5, i believe change things when it comes down to Memory directly on your PDA.

I have TOM TOM GPS stored on my SD card.....i debated if i should put it directly on my IPAQ FileStore.

Is it best to keep this on my SD?

i dont think it will make a difference...IFS will still be used to store files...just like any external card.
the only difference will be that wm5 will not use ram for storage anymore...well, that and the os itself.

Driftless...ive asked this question a few times, but maybe u can just give me ur opinion....I installed TOM TOM 5 Application on my SD Card...it gave me choices for Main Memory--IPAQ File Store--SD CARD--CF CARD.

Does it make any difference in performance for it being on my SD CARD rather than File store or Main Memory?...

Would u recommend me keeping it on my SD CARD?

You may want to benchmark it on your PDA. Some people have reported tremendous performance differences (especially with route planning) with TomTom running from SD cards and from main memory. This may not be the case with your PDA / SD card combo, however.

That is, measure the time needed for computing a given route when your app is installed to the SD card and when it's installed to other memory types.
