Just wondering i have a copy of windows mobile 5 and was wondering if i can use it one my HP5450.

Where did you get the copy from, HP hasn't released any for their devices yet, not even sure any company has released WM5 for any of their devices either.

My "My PDA" now updated with hints and tips including a ROM fix for the RX3700 series and installing Transport Tycoon onto your PDA.

I have a friend on the "inside".

The only problem is that he is a tool and couldn't tell me if it would work on my 5450.


Hence the reson i am here.

HP don't appear to have announced an upgrade for your device and so if you install it, it will either error before you get the chance or install and not all specific features for your device will work properly, if at all.
It's up to you whether you try it or not.

Would it be possible to go back to my original upgrade of 2003.

Or would it perminitly wreck the unit.

Thats a tricky question, to change ROMs of a device there is a step by step in my "My PDA" section but I am not sure it will work with yor device (no reason why not however). Also, it may not work as you are changing the complete OS.
If I was you aI would get confirmation from the person you got the ROM from and see what they say. But I wouldn't, too risky and a chance to really screw up a perfectly decent pda.
