Hi,

Sorry to ask such a newbie question, but well, you guessed I am newbie.

I have an Ipaq 2490 and dl some free Pocket PC software for 2003 and such hoping that the mobile would be backwards compatible. Maybe it is, I don't know.

However so far I was only able to install one program. (it was cool, A viking sega ) Which was difficult enough. As I had to also install a visual basic cab. Don't ask me how I did it I forget.

Any way I was wondering if I may their is a trick to installing on mobile 5 or if it's just most of the software is won't run on mobile 5.

I read the tutorial on installing cabs maybe I need to treat these programs I dl as cabs but I sadly must ask what is a Axim? (from the tutorial: http://www.ipaqhq.com/articles/articles/66 )

I do consitently get the "Not a valid Windows file" so I figure they are cabs. Would I be able to go the add and remove programs and point to the cabs? Or must I due in the tutorial in which case I need to learn waht an Axim is.
