Sync email folders in WM5

Has anyone had any problems syncing email folders with WM5? I upgraded my 2755 to WM5 and then loaded my IMAP4 email. Next I went to manage folders under email and enabled a folder that has over 1200 unread emails in it. The iPAQ froze and needed a soft reset to continue after only about 20 messages. I have reset and reloaded WM5 many times with the same result. I have also removed a bunch of the emails thinking one of the emails was the problem but that was not the case. I did try Wibis email and that will work but it is not quite WM5 ready yet.
It will load the mail folder (Inbox) with no problems and any folders with fewer then 20 messages but always freezes with the folder with 1200 messages.
Yes I will get these messages read someday but when you get over 200 messages a day I move the low priority stuff to this junk folder and get to them in my spare time.
Also peristant storage is great (not), it only takes about 4 hours to load 1200 emails into it. Given that peristant storage has a limited life (number of read write cycles) my email could use them up in a year. Under 2003SE the load of these emails into RAM took only a few minutes.
Thanks
