WM5 Email problems

I have recently been having problems with email synching from outlook. When I enable the email Synch the ipaq locks up after a few minutes. Thinking I had an AS problem I would sync the ipaq and take it our of the cradle. It was still locking up every half hour or so and I ended up rebooting 7-8 times a day and losing data in the process.
I have stopped synching the email for a week now and have rebotted the ipaq 4-5 times during that stretch so it is a pretty good indication that the email was causing the problem. I have tried reducing the number of emails copied, moved the attachments to the SD card and not bringing the attachments at all. Nothing works. I also have deleted the partnership on the PC and ipaq tried everything short of a hard reset. That may be required.

Anybody else have this problem?
Any solutions
Ipaq 2755 WM 2005
AS 4.1
Outlook 2003

Has anyne tried the WebIS mail? Does it work better than the WM messaging?

I had a similar problem but I was getting my email using IMAP4 vs. active sync. I could download the inbox but not the floders within inbox. When downloading the folders it would lock up. One of the folders had over 2000 emails. I bounced between WM5 and 2003 SE many times trying to find a solution. Finally deleted the folders down to only about 300 emails and it finally worked.
I did try a couple of the Beta Webis versions. They still do not claim WM5 support yet. With one of the Beta versions I was able to get 1000 of the 2000 emails before it locked up.
It never locked up on the same email but I believe it had something to do with the quanity of emails, the fact that the 2755 operates slower in WM5, and trying to casch the emails in RAM before moving to persistant storage.
I am now currently using WM5 on the 2755 but I find it very slow vs. 2003 SE.

Yes in some ways the 2755 is slower with WM5 but in other ways it is much faster. After deleting the partnership and reconnecting it synched 400 contacts and 700+ calendar items in less than a minute. 2003 sometimes took 10-15 and often locked up.
I agree with the number problem in the emails but I even reduced the synch to 3 days which would only be 10-30 emails and 1-5 attachments. I have tons of ram now (currently showing 94.3) but was running around 20 with WM2003. I will look at the subfolders and see if that helps any.

Thanks

WM 5 and email

I have had nothing but trouble since upgrading my 2415 to WM5 on Saturday.

I have 4 pop accounts and one imap account. Before Saturday, all were synced with active sync (through Outlook). Today, only the imap seems to work. Any thoughts on what is wrong. There are no messags for any of the pop accounts.

Also, active sync keeps trying to sync every few minutes, but the schedule button and menu item are both grayed. Any thoughts on how to change the syncing?

Tahnks

Just a thought - did you upgrade to ActiveSync 4.1 when you moved to WM 5? My understanding is that 3.x does not work with WM 5.
