Ok I just recently got my sprint 6700 and download/removed a bunch of apps while trying to find good ones. Anyway today I went to go check my signal strength and over half the icon was missing, I also have no time, or volume icon, although if I click on the area where the volume icon should be, I get the popup I'm supposed to and everything works fine, just can't see the icon.... I'm anal about my pocket pc I want it to be perfect, I've included a screenshot of what is happening as an attachment so you guys can see what i'm talking about here. I suspect the culprit to be one of the Omega applications but I'm on vacation right now and unable to reinstall these programs and see if they will restrore my reception and volume icons. Any help willl be much appreciated!!!

Deactivate all your startup software and enable one at a time..

and how would i do this again? sorry as i said i just got my phone a few days ago and i'm still working my way through the manual, and google isn't any help....maybe you can direct me to a site with tutorials or instructiosn for the windows mobile 5 platform??... thankyou!!!

Ok,

Go to "Settings" > Today > Items and uncheck all, remember witch one was.

Now browse to : My Device\windows\startup and "move" all shortcut to another place so you can put then back afterward.

soft reset your device and see if you still have the problem...

If not, reactivate one item at a time and see if it comes back, if not, move one by one the startup shortcuts to their original startup folder, do a reset after each move...

If you dont find with all this..I'm clueless..

tried that, didn't work. There must be some file or registry hack causing conflict because every once-in-a-while that blue rectangle blocking the icons will flicker and i can see a piece of what is missing from the reception icon... argh this is fustrating. When I deleted some programs they still left icons in the programs window, how would I get rid of those?

ok i fixed it, it was painful but i cleared all my storage data so now i'm back to my phpone from when i first turned it on, least i fixed the problem though lol
