no problems with WM5 on my axim X50
I haven't had any problems with WM5. I've had it on my X50(mid) since memorial day weekend (when I got it). I have read about the problems people have had trying to upgrade their X50 or X50v to WM5 like the stops booting at 80% problem, but I have not had any of that. The filesys.exe issue has not been present either. Is it just that I am lucky? I'm running the WM5 A02 rom. Has anyone had any long-term success with Windows Mobile 5? Also, how can I improve my X50(mid) WM5 experience (tweaks, hacks besides fake server hack, recommeded software for a poor man's budget)?

Its the combination of A02, the fake server trick and istalling everything to the cf/sd cards that leads to wm5 happiness

As a matter of fact, I have 19 programs installed on my axim. 18 of them are installed in rom and only 1 is installed in my SD card (only because it is too big to fit in rom). I have had no real problems with it and everything works. The compaction thread hasn't really hit me (yet). I only use the pim today plugins because I need the ram for PocketGBA. Although when I look at the memory applet in the control panel, it shows 50.39mb for total installed ram instead of 64mb. Is there a remedy for this and what is it?

Problem syncing with 2 computers
I recently installed WM5 and ActiveSync4.5 on my Axim v50x. I sync my Axim on two computers, at home and at the office. Since I installed WM5 I am unable to set ActiveSync to combine items that conflict. The only options I can select are to retain the item on my device or not. Also, the Option item on the Tools menu in ActiveSync is greyed-out and unavailable. Do you have any suggestions on how I can sync my Axim with two computers?
