Is this a WM5 Glitch?

A few months ago (late January?) I upgraded to the then latest flash A12 ROM for my Axim X51v, and ever since, I 've had some strange reset issues. I use my Axim mainly as a GPS device with a bluetooth GPS and TT5 (and also Mapoloplis). When I first start out in the morning I'm fine. But if I'm at a location say... 90 minutes, the GPS has shut down and when I go to re-start my car my screen goes like this:

or maybe this is a better image:

I have to do a soft reset to get it to work properly, and I could be doing this several times a day. Another annoyance is that if the stripes don't appear, the GPS is still sending bluetooth signals to the Dell, and I can see my map scrolling. But if I want to enter a NEW address to drive to, it's not _really_ working as I can't find towns or streets that I normally visit during the week. So I have to exit TT5 totally, and then re-start the program and then it works OK. I don't know if that's a TT5 issue or the OS or whatever.

Just wondering if I'm alone in this phenomena or maybe there are others with similar problems?

Mike

I think my warranty just expired a few months ago. I think its ROM related as I never had the problem before, and when its running, its perfect. Its just when it auto shuts down and then I re-start the car and voltage comes on.

Or maybe it is a WM5 software issue. Maybe if you would re-flash your ROM, it might fix it....

That happen to me once. It probably has to do with the corruption of GWES.exe while in memory. There might be a memory leak in mapping/gps software.
