Exclamation Update gone wrong- HELP!!!!

I have a ipaq hx2495 (WM5). I finally got tired of all the glitches and attemped the rom update. Midway through, an error poped up....read something about operation timing out. My previous rom was 1.00.00.H. The rom version on my boot screen shows 1.00.01.H (the update). the problem is, since it aborted, activesync doesn't recognize it and I cant re install the update. My ipaq is stuck on the boot screen! Any hope for me? Thanks.

Well, you could try what we do for Axims, which would be reflashing the ROM by holding down the Power + Wifi+ Reset buttons to reflash from an SD card.

Obviously, the directions for SD would be different, but doing a quick google search, I found this: How to repair broken iPAQ after unsuccessful ROM upgrade - Resco Forums

I don't have your device, but you can check out this link to get you going. Basically you need to be able to manually enter the bootloader mode. On iPAQs this is usually accomplished by pressing the Contacts+iTask+Reset button simultaneously for a few seconds and then the device goes into bootloader mode. You should then be able to try and run the flash program again. If this fails then you should try the link I provided which automates the manual installation of the rom upgrade. Also, don't even try upgrading your device under Vista. Lots of people have bricked their devices that way. Hope this helps.
