Net Framework 2.0 SP1 - is it on Wm5 as well?

WM6 already has Net Framework 2.0 SP1. The " WM6 release we can't talk about" for Axims definitely has it built-in, but I don't know if WM5 A12 has it as well.

No WM5.0 devices do not include it. You can download it from Microsoft's website.

What is your point in opening this thread?

WM6 has Net Framework 2.0 SP1 built in regardless of the device

For earlier OS's you can DL it direct form the MS website... Google is your friend

Is it really unobvious? It says in the thread title - "Is net framework 2 SP1 available on wm5".

To ask whether I need to install it or not. Sometimes installing on top of things or installing something that doesn't work screws things up. I noticed PPC are very sensitive to these things comparing to PCs. One wrong move and you have to hard-reset.

Well, if you have not messed with the last legitimate Dell WM5.0 update, then you will probably need to install it. I can't speak for the hacked WM5.0 versions that are floating around out there. If you've loaded any of those hacked ROMs, go back and check the website whereever you downloaded it for any "supporting" documentation.

I see you closed a thread about wm5 (newbie wanted to reflash it), saying it was illegal on a x50.
Didnt dell acctually sell that upgrade? And wasnt the sd flasher shown on this site?

Or is the sd flasher illegal now too, under the new merger rules?
Before the user modified the post, the post seemed to indicate that the user was trying to flash the pocket pc to WM5.0 without having purchased the WM5.0 upgrade. You can go back and see that the user modified the post after I replied and closed it.
