I have determined the real culpret of my slow x51v is the use of the odyssey client. I need to use odyssey to connect my home wifi as the dell wlan utility will not connect.

What I really need is an Odyssey replacment. Searching has not turned up a definitive answer. Seems some say WiFiFoFum is useful but I don't see how it is used to make the wpa connection??? Any others you recommend?

Dell was selling some sort of wifi utility as an option with the axims, but I don't know if it's available seperatly.

You might try "Hitchhiker". I took it for a spin a while back and decided to stick with the built in WLAN utility. However, It might serve your purposes.

Thats all I know, and yes I have experienced the odessy client slowdown on my ax. Why can't they just make some competant software to come with the devices?

www.kasuei.com/hitchhiker seems to have gone down?

wificompanion is not sold anymore only comes as oem software on socket devices
