Need help Installing updates

Hello,
I am the new owner of an Axim X51v running mobil 5, I went to the dell site and run the service tag number and it tells me there are some updates available for my unit, I have the active sync 4.1 installed and it has linked up with my computer fine but I cannot figure out how to get the updates to the PDA, I download them to the computer, and run the file but it just opens it and puts it in a file on the home system and there is no install like the directions says on the download page,
any help would be appreciated

What have you downloaded?
If you can add a link to the update that you want to install then we might be able to tell you what the problem is.
Is it an EXE file or a ZIP file or a RAR etc
You may want to upgrade your AS to 4.5, but If it is working then there is no need to fix it.
