iTrek Z1 GPS Software question

I am in europe for about 2 months and was wondering if there is any free GPS software that will work on my X51V using the iTrek Z1. I hate the thought of spending $150 on new software that will only be used for a few months and then never again most likely. Anyone have a program I can borrow for 2months? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

V/R,

Dave

It all depends what kind of SW you are looking for:

1. SW to read the log from your iTrek Z1:
- Use SourceForge.net: MTK GPS Datalogger Device Control
2. GPS info software - some should be delivered with your iTrek Z1 (or go fetch it on the transystem site - the iblue 747 and 757 are similar devices).
3. Navigation SW.
Currently some free SW and maps are under developments. There are places in Europe where the map is quite good, others where it is not quite filled yet. Your site: OpenStreetMap or Main Page - OpenStreetMap . If you look good enough you should be able to find the applications for your PDA.

Le Top,
Thanks for the information. I am new to both PPC'c and GPS so knowing what and where to look for has been a challenge. I'll look at those sites tonight.
