Mad How to kill "Unable to obtain a server-assigned..."

My Dell Axim X51v is constantly displaying the following error message:

Pocket PC Networking
Unable to obtain a server assigned IP address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network Settings.

1; My LAN/Internet connection works perfectly when the PDA is sitting in it's cradle.
2; My WiFi connection works fine when enabled.
3; My BlueTooth connection works fine when enabled.

So why on earth does this message pop up constantly?!

I have tried to "toggle off" various settings in the Network Settings, but no luck so far.

Can anybody help me?!

Thanks in advance.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION - VERY SIMPLE!!!!!

1. Remove the Axim X51V from the cradle.
2. Edit the X51V registry (Resco or PHM will work fine, as will others).
3. Look for the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\RNDISFN1\Parms\TcpIp
Modify "EnableDHCP" from 1 to 0.
4. Quit the registry editor and soft reset the X51V.

THAT'S IT. IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!!!
Edit: I should have mentioned, you should do a backup of your PPC before making registry changes and be careful to follow the directions. You can mess up the device by messing around in the registry.

That fix does not eliminate the error message on my hw6925. This is a benign, albeit annoying, message and does not affect anything except your ability to see the screen when it pops up. (I do not receive this error on any of my othere pocket pcs.) I wish I could figure out how to get rid of it, but so far I've had no success.
