Hanging on Today screen

My X51v is hanging on the today screen (every 3 seconds or so it shows the spinning ball icon for about 2 seconds.) During that time the entire device locks up and is unusable. When I go to a program, it works fine. It only does this on the Today screen, and strangely ONLY after the device has been powered off and on. (It's fine after a soft reset, but as soon as I turn it off and back on, it immediately does it until I reset again. The strange thing is when the problem appeared. I had to hard-reset and then reinstall everything, and it was after I installed Pocket Informant 2007 that it seemed to start. However, I thought I had it figured out after I downgraded from Magic Button 2.1 to 2.0 when it seemed as if that was the cause. It worked fine for a while but then started doing it again. The only program that I upgraded since the previous pre-hard reset "good" installation was Pocket Plus. (version 3 to 4)

It sounds like a Today plugin that's causing the problem and I suspect that it is Pocket Informant.

Try uninstalling PI from your device (not your PC) and see if this stabilizes it.

It's actually NOT Pocket Informant - I disabled the Pocket Plus 4 today plugin and it fixed the issue. Pocket Informant doesn't have a today plugin.

Is there someone with some PP4 experience who could figure out what is going on with Pocket Plus 4?

I run PP4 and haven't seen that problem. However, it can always be a conflict with other apps/plugins

If you can verify that it is actually PP4, I'd suggest the following for troubleshooting:

disable all the features except for today plugin

remove all the normal today plugins that may be enabled in the PP4 multitabs and put them on the normal today

soft reset

If issues continue, remove the other today plugins and add them back in 1 at a time to find what might be conflict it.

Then put the plugins (if any) back to the PP4 tabs as you had them before

If all is still OK, start adding the features back in until you find the problem.

Once you find the problem (i.e. this plugin or feature is causing a problem), see if you have another installed app that is of similar nature that conflicts.

I am getting the same issue - with Pocket Plus 4. It's the only today plug-in I have installed. Have uninstalled pocket informant as well.
