Why close a discussion on somebody working wm 6 into his axim. It was obviously clear that it was an axim and his own tech knowledge running the machine.

Dell never released a WM6 ROM for the Axim, therefore any Axim running a WM6 ROM is illegal and discussions about illegal ROM's are prohibited here.

Go the XDA Developers website to discuss this ROM. I don't agree with the policy but adhere to it.

Isn't that kind of like going into someone's house and smoking when it's not allowed by the homeowner and then whining about it because they asked you not to? It's their house and they make the rules just like the owner of this forum.

You know the rules- if you don't like them, don't read or participate in the forums. Pretty simple really. Hasn't this been discussed to death here?

I think part of the problem is that a few mods have had a "flat earth" perspective on this, and deny that there is WM6 for the Axim. Yes, it exists, and it's a whole lot better than the A12 rom dell abandoned us with. I would suggest advising people who post about WM6 that although support for it is not available on Aximsite, there are other forums where WM6 discussion is appropriate.

No, no flat earth perspective here. I, along with every other moderator here, know and acknowledge that such a ROM exists. But this forum, in the interest of not incurring any legal issues or cease & desist notices, made a decision to avoid discussion of illegal ROMs. That decision was discussed to death and well documented. If you missed the discussion, which took place several months ago, you can find those threads by searching the forums. There is no reason to rehash it in yet another thread.
