Slow Axim

Hi there:

I have X51v Mobile Version 5.0., OS 5.1.195 (Build 14957.2.3.1)

It seems to respond slowly or not at all when I click on anything (Programs, help, etc.). Other than a hard reset, I can't remember how to clear it up other than hit the reset button in the back. Seems there is something else I can do. Appreciate any help you can offer............

I have a 51v with the exact same build/version of WM5.
Slow response could be a result of apps running in the
background using up resources i.e. memory.
Make sure all apps are closed and if you have a utility
such as MemMaid do a little internal house cleaning.
Check your Startup menu and eliminate apps that you don't
really require to autostart at bootup.
The ultimate of course is the Hard Reset to bring it back
to factory specs.
The attatched screenshot is what my Start/Settings/Systems/Memory
looks like after cleanup,I have 2gb CF and 2gb SD installed and load
what ever software I can to either.

Thanks, one more question

Thanks. One question. It's been a while on this one. What's the best way to get to where I can see what starts up. I know it's a simple question, but I've forgotten. thanks a bunch for your help......

To see what apps are start on boot up
Start/Programs/File Explorer tap UP until your are in root
then tap Windows for listing.
Navigate to StartUp and tap it.
The apps shown are those that are applied at bootup
screenshot shows my StartUp,I would say it's be safe bet to delete
all else but these.

Actually if you don't use either Pocket Outlook or Odyssey Client I'd delete both of those too. Deleting those 2 on my x51v sped things up a great deal.

BTW my x51v is exactly the same as what is stated in the OP.
