Hi borg975. This really isn't a OS issues as much as it is an issue for each individual SW developer. The OS gets around the "problem" by doubling up on the pixels. When you put your device in true VGA mode thru one of the hack programs, you undo this. At that point you are at the mercy of the developer of each of the programs you use. If they didn't build in VGA support, you'll get the program in the upper left hand corner as you described. WM5 won't be any different.

Thanks for the reply. Is the wifi/bluetooth screen a part of the os or it is pda specific as when I bring it up in VGA mode I get the background in VGA and the buttons in QVGA in the top right corner.
Could Microsoft not ensure that any program that only runs in QVGA doubles up on the pixels and fills the screen as some of the programs/games I use show the background across the full screen but the buttons are located invisibly in the top left corner.
Think we might have to wait and see when it arrives.......... eventually.
