WM5 and Adobe

Anyone who has taken the plunge into the WM5 pool...have you been able to install Adobe Acrobat 2.0? It is a huge app and when I try to install it to my SD card...(or anywhere for that matter) it fails. No reasons are given...just fails.

Thank,

Brad

It is working fine on my Dell Axim x51v. If you use it on a vga device I would highly recommend that you use Tweak2k to force a high resolution display.

solved

For whatever reason, a hard reset solved the problem; installed to the SD card without issue.

I loaded it on my 2790 with WM5 and it seems to open the pdf file that came with it. The only problem is that it does not open (or even see) the 30 or so other pdf's on my PPC. The prior version (pdf viewer 1) worked fine with these same pdf files on my prior Ipaq 3955 with windows CE 2002. If I click on the pdf file directly in explorer, it launches adobe viewer, but then I get a beep and the document does not open.

Any thoughts?

Long shot but try putting one of your old PDF's in the same directory as one you can open and see if this makes any difference.

hey.....it worked.....but I do not want them all in the my documents folder........I prefer them in a subdirectory under my directory.......perhaps I will try moving the entire folder somewhere else

I guess it does not work in a subdirectory of SD my documents.........I moved it to a subdirectory of SD....and it worked.

Thanks.

Glad I could help. Many programs have a particular folder they look for files in which is usually set in the registry. Files outside of this area are just not seen by the program.
