Unfortunately, some programs leave behind residual stuff when they are uninstalled that can cause these types of annoying problems. Some of the configurations are still set up in registry files, etc. The easiest way to clear this stuff up is to either perform a hard reset of your PDA (if it is a 2003 os) or to perform a clean reset of your PDA (if it is a wm 5.0 model).
Doing so will return your PDA to its factory settings, but will also delete any installed programs or other documents and files, so you'll want to make sure you've got copies of all of this stuff on hand to reload to your PDA.
If you want to avoid resetting your PDA to factory conditions, there are software products available that will allow you to edit the PDA registry. Of course you have to be very careful when messing around with these files or else you'll really screw up your PDA...and you still might not be successful in removing everything....it's similar to looking for a needle in a haystack. Your best bet is to bite the bullet and go with resetting your device...
Assuming you all have windows mobile 5.0 devices, here's how to perform a clear reset:
Press the power, calendar, and messaging buttons at the same time AND insert your stylus in the small hole on the bottom of you PDA (the reset button). Press and hold these buttons until you see the PDA reset and until you see the message "Erasing Persistant Storage." Then release the button.
